Junub Toons is a new creative project for South Sudanese stories, satire and civic education. Our starting point is familiar life: the market, the family group chat, the neighbourhood and the promises we hear.
Challenge bad habits and powerful ideas while respecting the people in our communities.
Our characters and story concepts are fictional. Satire is labelled, and factual explainers need sources.
Starting in English, with Nuer and Arabic versions planned as the project develops.
What should we draw next?
A moment from everyday life. A question worth asking.
Draft your story idea and copy it to share with the project.
